Meet Regina Janus, dance teacher at Arch-WayRegina Janus is an accomplished dancer who spent a number of years dancing, teaching and choreographing internationally. Born and raised in Mission, she lived and worked oversees for 10 years before she returned home to Mission. She spent the past 3 years building her dance school with Tiny Toes Creative Movement classes alongside Little Stars for ages 5 -8 and 9-12. Now you can find her at her own studio, Arch-way Dance, at the St. Mary’s Centre on 34110 Lougheed Hwy, offering classes for kids and adults of all ages and levels. Arch-way was born from the idea that arches represent strength. She explains that “movement always has an arch of some kind whether it be within your body, your transporting movement or in a stagnant position”. She also loves the idea that moving through an arch or a tunnel is an exciting pathway that can lead to a new vision and a new beginning. There have been a lot of challenges along the way, COVID restrictions included and she continues to move through them to adapt to the changing rules and regulations to share the love of dance of all of her students. She believes Mission is a special place with so much potential and hope and she has huge aspirations of spreading the magic of dance, building strength through movement not only in her dancers but in her community.
