This past weekend, the Leq'a:mel Health and Wellness Centre hosted an event at the Xa:ytem Interpretive Centre filled with activities in honour of Truth & Reconciliation Day.

Today, let's take pause to learn about, honour, and remember Indigenous children and families affected by residential schools.

FVHS is a Feline Rescue and Adoption Centre located in Mission, BC. We provide safe and compassionate shelter to stray, surrendered, and abandoned cats in our community.  Our cats receive veterinary care (including spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchip identification), rehabilitation, quality food, and lots of love while they wait to be adopted into forever, caring homes. We also offer a community pet food bank and low-income spay/neuter program.
 
It's kitten fever! A huge colony of mama cats and kittens were rescued before the paint even dried in our new location. Food and litter were flying off the shelves (and floor and walls!) and all 40 kitties needed to be spayed/neutered. One mama was already pregnant with her next litter of five, and two other litters were ready for their spay/neuter. The food and vet bills for these kitties and the existing cats in shelter and foster are crazy! Help us keep our shelter open to the community and support our mission to provide these cats with the best possible care by purchasing your 50/50 tickets today

A key part of the Paths & Pathfinder Program is the Annual Women of Mission Gala (formerly known as the Annual Celebration of Women). Held in October as part of Women’s History Month in Canada, the event acknowledges both the exceptional and every day real life contributions of women.

This year’s gala is being held on Saturday, October 19th at All Saints Anglican Church Hall doors open at 1:30 PM and the program begins at 2:00 PM.
