Healthcare Heroes Slo-Pitch Tournament

Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF) hosted the 2nd Annual Healthcare Heroes Slo-Pitch Tournament on August 12 & 13 at Exhibition Park in Abbotsford where teams battled the sweltering heat and dust. 

“It was great to see everyone come out and enjoy a fun weekend of ball while watching the jets fly above from the Abbotsford Airshow” says Leslie Gmur, Fund Development Coordinator. “We had 10 teams join us this year while trying to stay cool in the 32 degree weather.”

A big Thank You to our Garden Sponsor, Angry Otter and to our Ad Sponsors, Kitt Equipment and The Canadian Brewhouse along with all the volunteers, teams and spectators who helped us raise just over $7,350.00 towards the hospitals greatest needs.

Get Lit defended their title from 2022 and came out on top to against the Darkside with Diamond Dusters coming in 3rd place in Pool A. The Tickleberries and The Force called it a tie for 1st in Pool B with Dangerous Goods coming in 3rd place.
