The EmpowerHer Leadership Forum aims to celebrate and amplify the voices of women in leadership by providing a platform for insightful discussion with a panel of accomplished professionals in business and personal development. Attendees will learn from these leaders' experiences, network with like-minded professionals, and leave inspired and armed with valuable business resources.

Orene Askew "DJ O SHOW"
As an Afro-Indigenous and 2Spirit award-winning DJ, Orene's story is a song of triumph over adversity, rooted in her upbringing on X̱wemelch'stn (Capilano) Reserve as a proud member of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation).
 
From the very rhythm of her heart to the beats that move the masses, Orene's life is intertwined with music. What began as a childhood passion blossomed into a thriving career, where she not only conquered the airwaves of Vancouver and Washington's premier radio stations but also earned accolades such as the BC Indigenous Business Award and the International Indigenous Hip Hop Award for DJ of the Year.
 
Through her journey, Orene discovered strength in vulnerability and transformed setbacks into stepping stones toward greater success.
 
Today, Orene isn't just a DJ; she's a force of nature. As an entrepreneur, host, MC, and motivational speaker, she's graced stages for the Vancouver Canucks, BC Lions, and Vancouver Whitecaps. And if that wasn't impressive enough, she recently opened for comedy giants Kevin Hart and Russell Peters at The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival.
