The Residence In Mission (TRIM) is a three-story long term care home adjacent to the Mission Memorial Hospital. The facility was designed to be eight neighborhoods, each having their own dining and lounge areas with access to shared country kitchen. As well, the residents have access to four beautifully landscaped courtyards and six large balconies to enjoy the outdoors.
You may have read in the local paper that on January 2, 2022 flooding collapsed the ceiling at TRIM, causing extensive damage. All of the residents of the second floor have been relocated. There was also damage to the kitchen which also provides food for Mission Memorial Hospital, meals continue to be provided. The facility is also been declared on outbreak of COVID-19 since Jan 5. Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF) raises funds to help purchase equipment and other much needed items for the site. Nurses, care aids, and allied health professionals always greatly appreciates when new equipment arrives on site. Special treats create smiles among healthcare workers.
