Record-Breaking Healthcare Heroes Charity Slo-Pitch Tournament Hits a Home Run for Local Hospitals5/7/2025
The annual Healthcare Heroes Charity Slo-Pitch Tournament at Exhibition Park over the Easter long weekend was a resounding success, bringing together food trucks, lively music and beautiful weather – all in support of a great cause.
Hosted by the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF), the tournament drew a record-breaking 23 teams and raised an impressive $42,000 for hospitals in the Fraser Valley Eastern region. "We extend our gratitude to the 23 teams that participated as well as tournament coordinators, Teri Vander Wyk, Lisa Dick, Don Fitzgerald, and Troy Bernier, our sponsors, umpires, volunteers and spectators who helped to make this tournament such a success," said Leslie Gmur, Fund Development Coordinator at FVHCF.
